Gino Guarnieri

President & CEO


Gino, originally from Yonkers, New York, moved to Lexington, Kentucky in 1962. Growing up working in his father’s tailor shop, he knew he wanted a business of his own. Once he graduated from the University of Kentucky with a degree in business and marketing in 1972, he established Geno’s Formal Affair. With what began as one retail store renting and selling tuxedos on Southland Drive in 1976, he has grown into Lexington’s largest wedding and prom headquarters. Now operating two retail locations and a warehouse located conveniently in Lexington. Gino still loves showing up to work every day and finding the best variety of merchandise to offer the customer. His motto to follow would be that as our operations have grown so has our standard of excellence in how we serve our customers.

Gino spends his time outside of work with his wife of 50 years, Karen, his three children, Gino Jr, Matt, and Lauren, and his 6 grandchildren.


Matt Guarnieri

Chief Operations Officer & Co-Owner


Matt Guarnieri is the owner of Mac & Clay and partner in Geno’s Formal Affair. Matt is the third generation behind his father, Gino, and grandfather, Guido. Matt has been around the company since childhood and has developed a passion for fashion in menswear. He started Mac & Clay in 2020 in hopes to provide a unique shopping experience that features custom suits and tuxedos, stylish menswear, and accessories. Matt has been married to Crystal for 16 years, and they have 3 beautiful daughters. Matt enjoys spending time in the outdoors, baseball, and being the ultimate girl dad.



Carrie Thomas

District Manager


Carrie has been with Geno's for 33 years. Carrie has grown up watching the company grow in various capacities throughout her career. She enjoys styling people for their special day and building connections with her customers that transpire into meaningful relationships. In addition to her passion for dressing customers, Carrie is dedicated to mentoring her staff and helping build their confidence in the workplace. Carrie has been married to her husband Jamie for 29 years. She enjoys being a mother to her 2 children, and a “Tootsie” to her 2 beautiful granddaughters.

Greg & Gregory Lucas

Store Manager /Expert Clothier


Another father son duo at our Cadentown location are experts on all things custom. Gregory was raised in the business but officially joined our team in 2022 while Greg is a long time Geno’s veteran with over 30 years experience in the formalwear industry. Greg’s favorite hobby is redressing and arranging all the store mannequins to get the perfect display of new merchandise, and you can always find him blasting some R&B when he’s in charge of the store’s playlist. Gregory enjoys playing golf, going out with friends, and spending time in the yard with his three dogs.




Emma Robbins

Marketing Manager


Emma is the Marketing Manager at Geno’s Mac & Clay. Emma began working for Geno’s while attending the University of Kentucky in 2018. Emma enjoys styling each customer to their specific needs while encouraging new fashion trends and limits. Emma works as a sales associate but also organizes styles shoots and manages marketing aspects of the company. Emma lives in Danville with her husband, Josiah. Personally, she enjoys leading worship at her church, cooking, and spending time with her 7 nieces and nephews.

Joy Galla

Inventory Control Specialist


Joy has been with the company for 3 years. Joy is originally from the Philippines and migrated to the USA 12 years ago. She enjoys making relationships with customers and ensuring that every detail of their special day is perfect. She also stays on top of inventory to bring our customers the latest fashion trends. Joy has been married to her husband, Adam, for 11 years. She enjoys preparing authentic Filipino cuisine and sharing it with her coworkers. She loves spending time with family and supports them as best she can.
